From baroque inspired geometry to kaleidoscope tilling, silhouette foliage to humming birds, Spring/ Summer 2013 is looking more creative than ever.
Take Thakoon‘s collection for instance; refreshing brocade florals mixed with contrasting blocked color palettes all injected on a variety of fabrics. While Stella Jean‘s collection offers nuances of coordinated traditional African inspired prints which struck that balance by combining Hawaiian prints with boyish charms. It certainly looks like prints are here to stay for yet another season (and into 2014 I predict).
I must say that this year, I fell in love with Peter Pilloto; even the runway on which the collection was showcased looked fit to be eaten! Issa London‘s whimsical twist was dreamy and delicate, filled with buoyant chiffon and satin dresses. Spring / Summer 2013 is a testimony to designers, who once again, have successfully managed to incorporate vibrant, outlandish, contrasting statement patterns onto their fabric designs so effortlessly in order to offer consumers something original and unique with that all important touch of personality which I love.
And so without further ado, here is my edit of top print trends to emerge on the catwalk for Spring/ Summer 2013.
